A. Information You Provide to Us

• Order Information: If you order salt through the App, we collect your shipping address.
• Wi-Fi Credentials: To connect your sensor to the internet, you provide your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password. These are passed securely to the Device during setup.

B. Information Collected Automatically

• Sensor Data: We collect data from your Device regarding salt levels, battery life, signal strength, and device status.
• Device Information: We collect information about the mobile device you use to access the App (e.g., model, operating system, IP address).

2. Device Permissions

To function correctly, the SaltCo Home App requires specific permissions on your mobile device:

• Location Services: We require location access to detect and provision the Device via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi during the initial setup. This is a requirement of the Android/iOS operating systems for scanning local networks and is not used to track your physical movements.
• Bluetooth: Required to communicate with the sensor during the initial pairing process.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Display real-time salt levels in the App.
• Send you notifications when salt is low.
• Facilitate the processing and fulfillment of your salt delivery orders.
• Improve our sensor algorithms and App functionality.
• Provide customer support.

4. Data Storage and Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. However, we must share specific information to operate our service and fulfill your orders:

• Third-Party Sellers: When you place an order for salt, we share your Name, Shipping Address, and Order Details with the specific third-party dealer fulfilling your order so they can ship the product to you.
• Payment Processors: Financial transactions are handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number or bank account details. Your payment data is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Cloud Hosting: Your sensor data and account information are securely stored on Google Cloud Platform (servers located in the USA).
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of SaltCo or others.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can manage your account settings within the App or contact us at help@saltcohome.com to request account deletion.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes via the App or email.
